DDF Suncare
Exposure to UV light causes wrinkles, hypepigmentation and saggy skin. Most importantly, exposure to UV rays has been linked to skin cancer. UVA (sometimes referred to as “longwave radiation”) carries less energy than UVB rays but penetrates more deeply into the skin and underlying tissues. Intense, prolonged exposure to UVA can damage underlying structures in the dermis and cause premature aging of the skin. In fact, close to 90% of the visual characteristics associated with aging: fine lines, wrinkles, loss of elasticity and hyperpigmented spots now appear to be greatly increased by sun exposure to UVA.
Currently, all DDF sunscreens block between 75 and 85 percent of UVA rays. The current industry favorite for UVA protection, PARSOL 1789 (avobenzone) is known to degrade very quickly in the sun. For this reason, DDF uses a combination of avobenzone, Zinc & Titanium Dioxide to provide comprehensive UVA protection.
In addition, all DDF sunscreens contain the proprietary DDF Redox Antioxidant Complex™, a proprietary complex of eleven antioxidants that reduce inflammation and prevent free radical damage. DDF makes a sunscreen formulation for EVERY skin concern, including even the most sensitive. Advanced formulations employ the latest nano-technology and the most effective ways to achieve maximum and comprehensive protection from the damage caused by the sun’s rays.
