Sun exposure causes progressive changes as skin lesions accumulate over the years: known as actinic damage. Eryfotona Actinica® helps to protect against sunburn, helps to prevent early skin aging caused by the sun and can decrease the risk of skin cancer if used with other sun protection measures.
Eryfotona Actinica has been developed to help prevent actinic damage with 3 key ingredients:
- Zinc Oxide - A 100% mineral sunscreen which effectively blocks the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays.
- DNA Repairsomes® - Photolyase is a powerful DNA repair enzyme derived from plankton. Photolyase has been clinically proven to help repair sun damaged DNA within the skin caused by the sun.
- Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) - An antioxidant which helps to boost skin’s natural defenses, protect against environmental damage and fight the early signs of skin aging.
What is actinic damage?
Actinic damage, also referred to as sun damage, represents changes in the skin as a result of excessive sun exposure. Ultraviolet light can interfere with the skin's normal reparative mechanisms, and when these are overwhelmed by too much sun exposure, negative results may include skin thickening, wrinkles, changes in skin tone, and a potential progression to pre-cancerous (actinic keratosis) or cancerous lesions.
What is the difference between Eryfotona Ageless and Eryfotona Actinica?
Both Eryfotona sunscreens contain zinc oxide, DNA Repairsomes and antioxidants in their respective formulas. Eryfotona Actinica is designed as a daily mineral sunscreen for actinic damage, and Eryfotona Ageless is designed for photoaging defense: targeting the signs of photodamage through a Peptide Complex and Peptide Q10. Eryfotona Ageless also has a versatile tint.
Directions
Shake well before use.
Apply the equivalent of 2 finger-lengths on your face and neck, or more if needed, 15 minutes before sun exposure. During sun exposure, reapply after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying and at least every 2 hours.
